It’s the sweet slice of the year when the a/c and furnace can be idle and we can open up the front door to light some light in through the afternoon. Edie particularly likes this time of year as it affords her a fine vantage of the happenings on our street. The fluttering of the flag. Kids on bikes with training wheels. The loud exhaust and rattling of a car stereo system. A father carrying his newborn in one arm with a hose in the other, watering hydrangeas.
