not smelling of our former selves

This is a quilt my mom made and I am reticent to let Edith use it in any capacity. But she seems to be treating it nicely so I’ll let it slide for now. I know she will tire of it just as we do and move on and want something new, shiny or in the very least laundered and not smelling of our former selves. I get it Edie. I get it.
